Utimac first Italian company to install the Celpax device (to measure employee morale)
The Celpax launches in Italy - Utimac first company to install
Measuring the employee morale of your Italian colleagues just got a bit easier. And fun. Benvenuto Utimac!
Utimac Torino S.p.A. is the first Italian company to install a Celpax device to measure employee morale.
This industrial equipment company based in Robassomero is on a fast-track to further improve internal communication by measuring their employee’s commitment.
When employees are committed to their job, productivity follows (read about a company that cross-checked their Employee Morale vs Production Efficiency for two years).
So how do you get committed employees?
Well, a good start is to know where you stand. From there on you can start experimenting with changes to see if your actions are having the desired effect.
In the case of the Celpax device, it uses baseline measurements.
Since you’re always measuring the same (your staff press the green OR red button to answer “How was your day?” as they finish their shift) you will get a number that shows how your people feel on a normal day.
We call it the Mood KPI and it’s the average of the last 30 days.
The trend line is then displayed on the online dashboard:
How was your day? Press green or red!
By showing employees that you care about them on a daily basis, line managers can have regular conversations about what makes people press green, and what actions or changes they think would generate less red.
Once a manager has decided on an action, it’s easy to check the data to see if it had the desired effect.
Was yesterday’s All-Staff meeting as inspirational as you had hoped? Or did you get more red than usual yesterday?
What was the reaction from your people on the first day with the new shop floor equipment? Or the safety breakfast?
What manners, habits, etc need to be changed?
Using data as a guide, you can then involve more and people and steer towards a better workplace based on feedback, communication, trust and mutual respect.
At Celpax we wish the very best for Utimac, and hope they’ll see many Green-Button days on their journey
