Installing several Celpax devices
One transmitter can serve a large number of Celpax devices.
How many transmitters do you need?
- The Celpax and the transmitter can connect to each other from a long distance: up to 1200 feet / 400 meters.
- Inside it could be the same, or as little as a few meters if you have metal doors, concrete walls in-between, etc.
- You need at least 1 meter between the Celpax and the transmitter.
Let's look at some examples:
3 Celpax devices
- The Celpax devices are hanging at the 3 exit doors where all employees exit at the end of the shift.
- All Celpax can connect to 1 transmitter (signal 1 in black).
- The Celpax can connect to a transmitter hanging on a floor lower down, or on a higher floor.
When pressing the test button on each Celpax, it flashes green 3 times.
You're ready to start!
6 Celpax devices
OK, let's say you have 6 exit points with Celpax devices.
- Find a location for the 2 transmitters where all Celpax devices can connect.
- If you know that you have bad cell/mobile coverage, it might be a good idea to get 3 transmitters.
Bigger buildings/installations
Lets say your office is the reeally flash building below, and you have 1 Celpax at every floor.
- You would hang the transmitters (marked as yellow X) on different levels, and in different directions.
- The Celpax can connect to a transmitter hanging on a floor lower down, or on a higher floor.
"Thank you for being the easiest and least painful project of 2020 thus far – first attempt worked on all units, no troubleshooting. I love it!
I actually had to make sure I wasn’t dreaming haha"
